Myles Mixed Breed (Large) Young Male in Port Sheldon, Michigan

My story
Minus the separation anxiety (which honestly only lasts about 15-30 minutes. We have a camera in the room he stays in so we can see when he calms down), this dude would be the absolute best companion. He is so good with other dogs. Playful and fun, yet literally naps all day while I work from home, curled up on the couch. Absolute zero aggression in his body. Loves every person he has met, is super gentle when taking treats out of your hand, and is learning to sit and stay before we give him the "ok to start eating dinner. He is rarely destructive, but be careful about your socks. Sometimes he thinks they are a snack. I think the only setback to getting adopted and why it has taken so long is that he has some medical needs. He has a mild narrowing at the intervertebral space at C3 (so his neck). Management of this currently includes raised bowls, must be walked only on a harness so as to not to aggravate the affected area, and he needs regular activity. Potential need for anti-inflammatory meds and pain management but he is not on them currently as he does not seem bothered by this issue as of now. He will likely need this at some point though. He is also on Fluoxetine for anxiety which he is responding well to + joint supplements.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Myles, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
